Raised Bed Vegetable Gardening

When we install raised beds for gardening. We do not remove any grass or weeds that are growing in the spot we choose. Instead, we layer the bottom of the beds with black and white newspaper or cardboard and wet down with water. We then layer compost and soil and plant. Here are a couple of photos of some of our raised beds at our home.
