The Beauty of Rain

As I sit here in my studio, I listen to the rain outside gently washing away the long, long Winter. I haven't yet closed the valves of my rain barrels so the water is pooling and echoing before it runs out the spouts Although the day is gloomy, there is something beautiful about the rain. It is a sign of things to come. I know that my flower bulbs are getting ready to put on a show. My garlic will soon be showing signs of new growth. And, it won't be long before I have green onions a plenty. Spring will soon be here. The long winter sleep will come to an end. That is the beauty of rain.
